- Older of the burmese pythons (the albino) picked up mouthrot somehow. We're giving her lots of injections, and hopefully she'll pull through. Sebastianne, my red-tail, has developed weird lumps where his face is healing back. Three years after we forced his last owner to give him up, and he's still got a huge scar on his nose. At least he's shedding without issue this time.
- Finished Graham Greene's "The Heart of the Matter" and started reading "Men who stare at goats." Wow...the author doesn't pull any punches. This book is nothing like the movie. Jon Ronson rips into the parapsychic field of study with a certain malevolence only reporters can summon.
- Finally saw "Antichrist." I'm surprised people thought it was so hard to watch, but I realize I'm incredibly desensitized to fucked up situations. Good film, all around (though very surreal). Will have to review it for Horrorsnark.
- Back on track with music. Found a bassist, guitarist and drummer have learned 2 songs I wrote for the last band. It looks like this might just go smoothly for me.
- Found a new gin, called "Bols." I just like saying I have a big glass of Bols, and it tastes bitter.
